Power Sources

Amplifiers require an external power source to operate.

For most amplifiers source this power from an electrical outlet, or wall socket. This connection usually includes a transformer, also known as an adaptor.

Some amplifiers run off power provided by batteries. Amps that run of batteries are certainly more portable, however the battery does not provide unlimited power and will eventually run out.

Other amplifiers are hybrids or combos, with options for both battery and electrical outlet power sources.
